Food & Wine Magazine - Georgina Campbell selects the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre, Clonakilty as a reason to holiday at home
The Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre, Clonakilty has been selected as reason to holiday at home by Georgina Campbell in the May edition of the Food & Wine Magazine. The hotel has "fantastic on-site facilities which will be even better this summer with new choices just coming on stream, including a Jungle Gym area, with a Toddler Area and also a Teen Zone.
The hotel is described as "Fun for kids and relaxing for parents" so remember if holidaying at home this Summer, rain or shine, the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre, Clonakilty has plenty to ensure that all members of the family are entertained.
EASTER BREAK - Easter in the Quality Hotel, Clonakilty is filled with fun activities for all the family. The Kids Kamp and Supervised Play will run daily over the break and both adults and children will receive Easter Eggs on Easter Sunday!
The festivities continue on 16th April with a special performance from the Puppet Kidzz of Ireland and their magical story of "Jack & 
the Beanstalk". The show is an upbeat musical, with sing-a-longs for all ages! The "Puppet-Kidzz" are over 2 and 3 feet tall and there are NO strings... they are hand-puppets, soft, warm and cuddly. MAY 2009 - Completion of substantial development - May 2009 will see the completion of 9,000 square foot extension which is divided into two floors. It will house a "TEEN ZONE" which will provide the ultimate in teen entertainment including XBOX’s, Playstations, Pool Tables, Air Hockey tables and safe internet access areas.
The new CRECHE & PLAYROOM is aimed at the 0-12 age group and a jungle gym will be the main attraction. A COFFEE DOCK will complete the ground floor of the development. The upper floor will contain a new AEROBICS STUDIO and a new GYM with the latest in gym equipment. The final stage of the investment will be developed by September 2009, with the completion of five luxury TREATMENT/SPA THERAPY ROOMS and additional CHANGING ROOMS. MIDTERM BREAK Specials - As family or as a couple, we have everything to make this weekend special. Our special Valentines Menu has something for everyone or indulge in a treatment in our award winning Leisure Centre. For the family break, our childrens facilities are sure to entertain and complete the weekend with a stroll on Inchydoney beach.
CHEERIOS Breakfast Morning - This year, the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre, Clonakilty hosted a very successful breakfast morning in aid of Childline. The hotel would like to extend its gratitude to all who attended from the area. Their generosity along with a substantial donation from the hotel, raised a total amount €700.00.
HALLOWEEN - Following the success of last years activities, the hotel succeeded in providing abudant fun events for all the family for this Halloween, ranging from Pumpkin Carving Competitions to Kiddies Discos. The full programme of events which took place can be downloaded here.
